Objectives of All Pakistan DICE Youth Innovation Event 2018

The Dice Youth initiative was launched to engage the youth of Pakistan in promoting a civic sense and fostering a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship and indigenization. The purpose of this initiative is to create a positive and favorable image of Pakistan in the eyes of the international community – namely creating an image of Pakistan as a highly innovative and high-tech nation, fully capable of developing cutting-edge products and providing technology services to the rest of the world.

Location:

Event will be held in Sukkur during the 2nd week of October 2018, venue details and exact dates will be communicated later.

•    Pollution solutions
•    Technology solutions
•    Traffic solutions
•    Clean water solutions
•    Education solutions
•    Health solutions
•    Energy solutions
•    Basic civic sense

Who can participate?

•    Youth teams of High schools (Matric, O level) and College (Intermediate, A-level), Vocational Institute, neighborhoods etc.
•    Each team can have a minimum of two and maximum of five members.
•    Each school/college can submit more than one project, but no more than two projects should address the same theme from one
   school/college.

Procedure:

•    Please ask your students to get online registration and submit the projects through the: Online Registration for the All Pakistan DICE Youth Innovation Event 2018 •    A one page project abstract explaining the innovation and its relevance to the selected event theme is required to be submitted at the    time of registration. Online registration is open until the end of (the dtae announced soon here) however any changes in last date of    registration will be available on website.
•    Selected project teams will be notified by DICE Foundation for event details.
•    Selected teams will need to submit a complete project report including business plan prior to the final event before date communicated    by DICE Foundation.
•    Teams will be required to display and present their projects on the final day of the event.
•    Project assessment: A panel of judges will assess the projects by scoring on following criteria:
   -  Degree of Innovation (20%)
   -  Potential impact on improving the civic sense (20%)
   -  Readiness to implement (roadmap, prototype) (40%)
   -  Presentation (20%)

Prizes & Shields:


•    Top 3 teams with the most innovative and implementable ideas will be given prizes:
   - First Prize:Rs.50,000
   - Second Prize: Rs.30,000
   - Third Prize: Rs.20,000
•    Ten prizes of Rs.10,000 each to projects with Honorable Mention.
•    All winning teams and schools will be given DICE Youth 2018 Shields.
•    All participating student teams will be given certificates of participation.
